Law enforcement have released alarming video showing a driver executing risky skidding techniques on a traffic circle during an illegal vehicle gathering, putting onlookers at grave danger of harm.
A 23-year-old from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
In addition, the court issued a one-year license suspension and mandated community service along with a behavioral course.
As stated by police officials, the recording was filmed at an unauthorized car meet in Portsmouth on December 28th, 2024, featuring the driver operating a pink BMW.
“The video shows the alarming incident when a dangerous motorist drifted on a traffic circle at an illegal vehicle event, as spectators looked on ignoring the risk of serious injury.”
Police representatives reported that over two hundred violations related to illegal car meets in the region have been addressed in approximately 12 months.

A police sergeant commented: “Residents, drivers and our traffic officers have had their fill with these groups of motorists selfishly taking over public roads and car parks and we refuse to accept it.”

The statement concluded: “Our efforts will persist to prosecute these drivers and I hope these recent cases serve as a caution: you won’t get away with it.”
