Liverpool's Star Issues Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has disclosed that Salah expressed regret to the team following the uproar from his recent interview.

Salah was left out from a European match following criticising the club and claiming his relationship with manager had soured.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”

The head coach has previously declined to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.

Looking Ahead

He emphasized that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

He also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. He feels the Salah's words were not intended to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, performing and on a positive run.”
