Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.

Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a "massive" and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is uncertain and the US has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That US-Israeli operation - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

Officials reported missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some property damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
