The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' mantra that draws so many people into the National Football League

This outcome may have opened opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they formerly held, with a schedule that provides them an edge over their 8-2 rivals

Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a major confrontation in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen attempt too much or could it simply have been a poor performance for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or a deeper issue? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a row against Miami but were outperformed from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an surprising result - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's initial first down in the third period and initial scoring in the final quarter - yes the Dolphins had ten days to get ready but it was still a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's best offenses

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but rusher De'Von Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Containing the NFL's top rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and teammates registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and just over fifty percent their 161.5 yard season average

Then there were the three crucial ball losses, and the two from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the scoring area meaning a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter fumble that the Dolphins converted to seven points just later

It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Josh Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this season

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

Spotlight - Patriots Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed

TreVeyon Henderson clocked the fifth quickest speed in the NFL this season

Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different eight and two teams in the NFL, all AFC teams, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts really for feasting on the lesser sides, with only five of their total 24 wins coming against opponents with a positive record - and one example was the Colts beating the Denver

The Broncos beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the final quarter while Indianapolis can ride Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Orchard Park appears to be a statement

Their pair of losses came in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight wins, just like Denver, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to get ready was huge

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he certainly earns credit for bravery after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his team to victory

The defensive unit is solid and first-year rusher Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth ball carrier to break 22 miles per hour this season on his initial touchdown

Although you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the best record due to their remaining opponents - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against Buffalo

Traveling to Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jaguars to face. There's a considerable distance to go but the door is available for a shock number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Next Week Showdown

Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored 40 burgers to reach seven and two before the upcoming major meeting between the two in LA

They've both won four in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing under 20 points a game

Each could easily be undefeated as too - particularly the Rams as their two defeats occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning field goal with the final play deflected and returned by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

The Seahawks also lost to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely two of the best sides in the NFL

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the year so far

Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor could be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - running for 244 yards, scoring three touchdowns and adding another 42 {receiving yards
